AEMI is a standard once defined by Intel and then Conner.
It uses a special interconnect from the Mylex to the
Storage cabinet.
This in contrary to the StorageWorks fault management that
simply uses the SCSI cable itself.
They are two different "standards" to allow the Mylex in this
cause to find out status of disks, insertions etc.
You can ignore the AEMI what Digital storage concerns.
(StorageWorks/SBU and PCBU both use the StorageWorks Fault Man.)

Ahum, in what way do you see the AEMI settings effect GAM?
Can you explain this in more detail?
