What's the cable part no. (KFESB to HS1CP tri-link) in the HS241-BX kit? I've got a note 17-04288-01, is that correct? If I want to order it, what part no. do I use? Nige.

Nige, The part number you have is correct. Remember that this cable has built in termination, and the terminator SIP packs on the KFESB need to be removed when this cable is used. Regards, Kurt BTW, there is an HS1XX,2XX,SWXNA notes file at ssdevo::hs1xx_product

Can a BC29T-nn be used? (I can order those through IEG) but not the 17-nnnnn part. (Cross posted in SSDEVO::HS1XX_PRODUCT) N.

Hi, I suppose it depends on what you mean by can it be used. In a pinch it will work, as long as you put the terminator packs back in the KFESB. I think you would be doing the customer a disservice however. The termination in the cable allows you to decide if you want to disconnect the cable from the DSSI adapter in the system and still maintain termination on the DSSI bus. This comes in handy when the customer needs to have a DSSI adapter replaced and still wants his drives available during the replacement. Regards, Kurt |
