| Probably won't work... It is missing a number of SCSI features that
OVMS seems to want.
The JAZ drive SCSI interface could use a bit of enhancing....

6597.2 | | TLE::REAGAN | All of this chaos makes perfect sense | Tue Apr 22 1997 15:21 | 6 |
| Haven't seen a JAZ on OpenVMS, but somebody over in the Macintosh
notesfile hooked up a ZIP drive to OpenVMS and it seemed to work. I
would think it odd that the JAZ drive would be inferior in SCSI
support that its lower capacity/lower cost ZIP bother.

6597.3 | JAZ is OK on 7.1 | EVMS::EVERHART | | Mon Apr 28 1997 13:40 | 9 |
| The JAZ drive has been reported to work on OVMS 7.1 by several
folks. DKdriver tries moderately hard not to require mode pages
now that have no required bits...
No reports about ZIP drives have been either posted, nor have
I seen any.
Some issues do seem to exist with some old SCSI-1 devices tho...

| The JAZ was tried on InfoServer, and failed... due to the above
mentioned SCSI problems. The V7.1 drivers seem to be more tolerant of
spec issues....
