Folks, We appear to have got ourselves into a competitive situation where our TL810 is up against an ATL7100 silo from Dawn Technologies Can anyone point me to information about this silo and any information regarding how we can bid against it Thanks in advance Simon

A little more info from you first might be helpful... You realize that ATL is the manufacturer of our TL81x/TL82x and the new TL89x devices, right? Also, do you really mean TL810, or do you mean TL812? Would a TL894 be a more appropriate solution? What drives is ATL bidding in thier 7/100, DLT4000 (TZ88-like) or DLT7000 (TZ89-like)? It sounds like they are viewing this in a different light since they are bidding a 7-drive/100 slot box and you are bidding a 4-drive/48 slot box... What is the environment you are putting this in? Are you bidding h/w only, or is it a part of a total storage/backup solution? Joe | |||||

What you may want to bid is 1 DS-TL896 or 2 DS-TL894. The first will offer more capacity but one less TZ89 drive or the second oprion which will offer the same capacity and 1 extra drive. More details on the entire solution will help us help you. Regards, JP Lavigne |
