6577.0. "RRD46 Questions" by ZPOVC::COLINTONG () Sun Apr 13 1997 23:14

    Hi,

    Some questions to the new 12 x CDROM drive:

    1. Does it support DEC3000 servers, or what is the minimum OpenVMS
       version to support ?

    2. I cannot find the table-top part # of RRD46, does one exist or
       it is not supported ?

    Any comment is welcome

    Thanks and Regards

   It's not officially supported on the DEC 3000 series. (But I don't
   know any reason it would not work.)

   The drive is apparently (only) available as imbedded, and in a StorageWorks
   box. The BA353 "pizza" series desktop box has room for three SCSI widgets.
   (It's better if you use as few SCSI enclosures as you can...)
6577.2LEFTY::CWILLIAMSCD or not CD, that's the questionThu Apr 17 1997 09:355
    There is no tabletop available for the RRD46, and never will be. There
    has not been enough demand for them to justify the required work.
