Hi, Some questions to the new 12 x CDROM drive: 1. Does it support DEC3000 servers, or what is the minimum OpenVMS version to support ? 2. I cannot find the table-top part # of RRD46, does one exist or it is not supported ? Any comment is welcome Thanks and Regards Colin Tong

Here are the RRD46 contacts: Corporate: Michael Bahlo (Product Management), DTN 237-6875, 508-841-6875, SHR, [email protected] John Celi (Product Marketing), DTN 237-3126, 508-841-3126, SHR, [email protected] Europe: Henry Smialowski, DTN 780-1024, [44] 1329-668196, REO, [email protected] AP: Suresh Jasrasaria, DTN 675-4926, [65] 2904926, ZPO, [email protected] It's not officially supported on the DEC 3000 series. (But I don't know any reason it would not work.) The drive is apparently (only) available as imbedded, and in a StorageWorks box. The BA353 "pizza" series desktop box has room for three SCSI widgets. (It's better if you use as few SCSI enclosures as you can...) | |||||

There is no tabletop available for the RRD46, and never will be. There has not been enough demand for them to justify the required work. Chris |
