Hi,
I have a question from a Field Service Engineer;
a customer has purchased and wants him to install a HSD05
containing two TKZ09-VA's to a VAX 6000-410 containing a
KFMSA DSSI controller. His question is (and mine) is this a
DEC supported configuration? I called the Storagworks support
line, "surfed" the WEB, but can't find the answer.
Any help is appreciated,

The VAX 6000-410 -> KFMSA -> HSD05 setup is a qualified configuration and works fine. The question is the TKZ09-VA's. The 8mm drives are a CSS product and I do not know if "Storage" qualified it. You may want to talk to the CSS Tape Engineering folk. The name I know up there is Jim Satko at 264-1729. He's the man. roger. | |||||

Nope, its not supported, and it does not work correctly.
