I would be appreciated it if anybody could suggest me about Windows NT cluster configuration. I probably think the following is correct: Terminator(H879-AA) Terminator(H879-AA) & Y-cable(BN21W-0F) * & Y-cable(BN21W-0F) SCSI cable SCSI cable BN21K-05 * BN21K-xx/BN21L-xx []----+------============= =================----+------[] | II II | +-----+-----+ ++++ ++++ +-----+-----+ | KZPSA-BB *| | | | |Tri-link | KZPSA-BB | +-----------+ | +--+ |connector +-----------+ | | | |(H885-AA) | | | | +-----++++++++++-----+ | | | | |RAID controller | | | | | +--------------------+ | | |Digital | |HSOF V3.0 * | |Digital | |Clusters | +--------------------+ |Clusters | |for WNT | |SWXD3-SG/WG | |for WNT | |license * | |SWXD3-SE/WE | |license * | +-----------+ +--------------------+ +-----------+ AlphaServer A RAID array 310(SWXRA-Z1) AlphaServer B *:included in Windows NT platform kit for cluster(SWDKT-DC). The kit also contains Windows NT cluster software. Any pointers would be helpful. Thanks. Jun Obara

6516.3 | move the SW310 to the end of the bus | MSE1::PCOTE | press one now for personal name | Thu Mar 27 1997 07:36 | 10 |
That configuration won't work. The SW310 is positioned in the middle of the bus. The SW310 supplies bus termination. Thus, it has to be at the end of the SCSI bus. The only way to get that configuration to work is to remove the terminator resisitor SIPs from the internal dwzzb in the SW310. (which I strongly don't recommend) Paul |
