6491.0. "KZPDA on Alphastation 400 4/233 w Dunix 3.2C" by DV780::ENGQUIST (Eric Engquist) Tue Mar 18 1997 17:00
My customer has an AlphaStation 400 4/233 which has 2 PCI boards in it.
(A DE435 and video board). He was told a KZPDA controller would work
on this system. He is currently running Digital Unix 3.2C, which
in one article states that is the version for support of this board.
(I found another article that says 3.2D-1.) Anyway he move the
DE435 to the ISA/PCI combo slot, plugged in the KZPDA and the system
did not see it. From what I can find out this should work.
Questions:
1. What version of Unix does he need?
2. Is this board supported on this system? (I have looked on
our web page (ftp.digital.com/pub/Digital/Alpha/systems/as400/docs)
and it is in the Supported Options list.
3. Is there anything special about the ISA/PCI combo slot? Will
the KZPDA work there? Do I need to set a jumper to select
PCI/ISA?
Any help would be appreciated

| Does >>> show config
show the board?
Did you rebuild your kernel to include support for it?
