Where/how do I obtain license keys for StorageWorks controller
functions such as RAID and Writeback Cache for use on systems in use
within DIGITAL for DIGITAL software engineers?
Thanks,
Nige.

Which controller do you need the keys for? I would suggest asking
Storage Marketing or engineering for this information rather than a
notes conference.

Many of the licenses are on the StorageWorks DOCS Server:

Well my question is where/how do I obtain the licenses I need to use
WBCA RAID and MIRR? What's the process a DIGITAL engineering group
should use (that's me)? I agree with .1 - this isn't the place to
to get a license, although ultimately I _do_ hope it'll help me find
out how I should be doing it and I'll be able to license my controllers
legitimately.
My controllers are HSJ40, HSD30, HS1CP. They will also be HSJ50 and
HSZ50 and possibly others later, so we will need to re-employ whatever
process to obtain licenses this time, again.
Sorry if I wasn't clear.

While it may not be the answer you want to get. It is my understanding
that you order the license with the HSOF when you get the controllers.
And then you can get MDDS to keep them up to date.
There are no methods for updating internal units. The code and licenses
are not available online for most products. Since the HSD and HSJ
series require PCMCIA cards, and can not load code, they do not offer
that software online.
