The platform is AlphaServer 4100 running Windows NT. I have a question on the "RAID monitoring/management" software for the RAIDarray 210/230's. Is this software in any way integrated with ServerWorks Manager? In other words can the RAID software provide alarms into ServerWorks and can You launch the RAID utility from ServerWorks. Best regards Greg

I will check in this, and report back, but you may want to ask the question in the PCBUOA::SERVER_WORKS notesfile to get a quicker response. Chet White | |||||

I believe the answer to be no. What INTEL platforms has that IS integrated with ServerWORKS is the Mylex Global Array Manager (GAM) software. This allows to peruse error information, logical and physical drive information on the fly, and with the advent of the Rev E mylex, the MORE (Mylex Online Raid Expansion) is now in test soon to release. This feature is integrated into serverworks such that when you click on a PRioris Server running the agent software, if the GAM Agent is also detected, a launch button for the application automatically appears at the toolbar. Hope this helps....... There is a way to integrate an external application into ServerWORKS paper, I just put it on our web site akin40.ako.dec.com Click on the Digital ServerWORKS Hotlink, and the next screen has the link to a doc file. Please note this is a draft document, the final will be placed there when it is completed. But there are some basics. Chet |
