             Anybody know if there is a newer release of the the SWXCR
             firmware than 2.36 ?

Yes, a new version of firmware was just released for the KZPSC, version 2.42.
You can get this from the following locations:

* StorageWorks A&BC Storage Revenue Engineering Web site at URL
   http://osfsrv.shr.dec.com/abc_se/  in the "Supported Products" area.

* via anonymous FTP at imprvz.shr.dec.com

* via DECNET at SUBSYS::PUBLIC:[ASTRO.RELEASE]

Don't grab the latest kit for the KZPAC controller by mistake, as this is also 
available in these areas.  The release notes include details on the new 
version of firmware.
