6388.0. "Tech Ops" by FURKA::"[email protected]" (Drew Kramer) Mon Feb 10 1997 16:00

I've got a tz885-NA that came with mounting rails for a
storageworks (metric) rack. I'd like to mount the drive
in a 19" RETMA rack. I've searched around, but can't
seem to find a part # that would let me do this. Am I
stuck? Thanks!

Hi Drew,

The part you are looking for is as follows:

5 Cartridge loader RETMA kit for 19" rack = SWRAK-A1
7 Cartridge loader RETMA kit for 19" rack = SWRAK-AA

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

I can't add anything to John's info for the TZ885, but I have to make a
point about the TZ887 - if you ever have to put one in a RETMA rack...

Don't order a special RETMA kit for the TZ887! The rails that come
with the TZ887 (or 877) are set to Metric, but can be adjusted to be
used for RETMA. They are truly UNIVERSAL rails. All one does is move
the round standoff from the top of the rail to the bottom. This
changes the alignment of the rails from metric to RETMA. The holes are
always there - they just don't line up.
