We have a customer who has 4GB wide SBB's with firmware versions 011, 9103 and 9107 (raid 5 with mylex DAC960). Drive model is ST15150W. 1. Can we mix different firmware version drives in a raid pack? 2. I understand there are some known problems with 011 version such as badblock and drive going offline etc. Can we upgrade from 011 to 9107 ? (we have a file seaup100.exe to upgrade from 011 to 9103) If so where is the file required? Regards,

What type of system is this on? If it's a PRIORIS, then this is the wrong notesfile. (just trying to help Roger! ;^) Try the Prioris notesfile, or the Decstation notesfiles. Anyhow, there are Tech Tips on the Prioris Support Web Page akin40.ako.dec.com/dataroot/internoteshtml/TECHTIPS/2312.htm that describes a known anomoly with 0011 in a 4 Gig barraccuda and should be upgraded to 9103. chet white Prioris Server Support Engineering | |||||
