I had put this query several days back. I am still looking
for the answers. Can anyone tell me who  is the product manager 
for the SWCC product ?

Hi 

I just read the SPD and the Sales Update on the StorageWorks
Command Console. 

I have the following queries about the product in connection
with the customer concern of monitoring the RAID storage state
changes : 

1. The SPD states Automatic Event logging for Windows-NT. Does
it imply that the logging is possible for Windows-NT agents
or logging is possible for all agents when running the SWCC
client on Windows-NT. Essentially where is the logging done and
what is logged? 

2. Can the agent only be used for monitoring and reporting ?
The SPD seems to suggest this as indicated below : 

o  The Agent can be configured to notify the user of a problem or event
   without an active Client. Only available to Digital UNIX, Sun So-
   laris, HP-UX and IBM AIX users.

3. Monitoring storage in a DECsafe cluster environment ? How
can this be done ? If point 2 above is possible, probably this
can be achieved thru some start/stop scripts for the agent.
Is something available ?

4. Licensing : The sales update mentions unlimited storage 
subsystem management license. However the SPD mentions license
for 10 servers, 25 servers etc... What is the exact licensing
policy ? Is it server based or storage subsystem/controller

5. How are dual-redundant HSZ40 controllers handled ?

6. What is the location of SWCC documentation on the network ?
