6360.0. "TSZ07-FA - which cable to use ?" by BRADEC::PODOLINSKY (Peter Podolinsky - MCS Slovakia) Wed Jan 29 1997 15:42

Hi,

I am trying to find out the proper connection for TSZ07-FA (Diff SCSI, LD 50PIN connector).
The controller is KZPSA 16 bit diff.
Does anybody know the proper cable for this configuration ?
I am thinking about BN36A-0B + BN23G. What I am not sure about is the termination provided by BN36A.
Does it provide a suitable termination for a differential bus?

Thank you for your help.
Regards,
	Peter

Hi,

I think a BN21M cable has a high-density 68-pin male on one end and a
low-density 50-pin on the other (cable common in new AS4100 cabinets to
connect the 68-pin KZPDA to the TZ885 tape loader).

I don't think termination has much to do with this situation.

6360.2I am not so sure ...BRADEC::PODOLINSKYPeter Podolinsky - MCS SlovakiaFri Jan 31 1997 01:157
Jim,

If I use BM21M I am sure that half (8 bits) of the SCSI bus is not terminated. Is it really a suitable
(=troubel free) solution ?
Please, make a comment on this remark.

    Jim,

    I have ordered BN21M-XX. You were right. It works fine.

    Thanks,
