Hope get your help ASAP ********************************************************************** Dear Sir, There is big opportunity with AS4100 * 2 TruCluster, 8GB memory & 4CPU/each, and many AS1000A . As it's a mission critical project,the customer requests for the data of MTBF & MTTR about AS4100 and AS1000A. Otherwise, they wouldn't sign the order. Could you help us to get such data or give me a contact point ASAP? Thanks ahead! Best Reg. Helen

It'll vary with configuration. Generally, the more dependent components the lower the MTBF. MTTR really only makes sense for redundent components. It depends on how long it takes field service to show up with the right replacement part. Hmm, or are they trying to figure out transition times? Hot moving things tend to fail first, moving things fail next, hot things fail next.
6356.2 | A reference MTBF about AS4100 is enough | HGOM11::HELENZHOU | Wed Jan 29 1997 18:31 | 12
Hello, Thanks a lot for your timely reply! Yes, your're right. But I assume Digiatl should has a masure of MTBF about AS4100 with a certain configuration, which is enough to convince our customer. In P.R.China, for a critical project, the vendor must provide such a data to hel approval by governer. I suppose, the MTTR should be provide by local MCS department based on your explanation? Am I right? Looking forward to your further information! Reg. Helen |
