6350.0. "scsi disk scrubber tool" by VIVIAN::P_MILNER () Tue Jan 28 1997 03:57

    Is there a tool which can be used with Dec Unix/OSF which will scrub a
    scsi disk, the customer has sensertive imformation which needs removing
    prior to deinstalling his disks, a reformat is not thought good enough.

    many thanks for any replies

   Use "eras" or keywords similar, and try some directory searches.

   I'm assuming military-style security. What declassification methods
   are permissible are up to the site security officer.

   Norton has a package for the PC that is one of the few packages around
   that can assist the site security officer with the process involved with
   "military-style" disk declassification. (The site security officer may
   still require the disk be melted into slag, even after being erased...)

   Start with ATPS::SEVMS note 285.* and SSAG::ASK_SSAG 5092.11.  These
