Use "eras" or keywords similar, and try some directory searches.
I'm assuming military-style security. What declassification methods
are permissible are up to the site security officer.
Norton has a package for the PC that is one of the few packages around
that can assist the site security officer with the process involved with
"military-style" disk declassification. (The site security officer may
still require the disk be melted into slag, even after being erased...)
