|     This is not a VHS based tape. It is a SONY DTF tape. One

    It is based on Digital Betacam video cartridges (so, yes it's
    videotape, but it is more like the D-3 videotape used in the
    Storagetek SD-3 tape drives than VHS). It's also more into
    that price range. Those few people on USENET that commented on
    them found them expensive but fast.
