The split is complete. There is no interaction between the two
resulting busses. All they have in common is the ground 'signal'.
As they are completely independend, who could there be a support
issue as to what you put on once half versus the other?
Some system 2100 system came with split & mixed bus pre-configured.
4 slots for integrated scsi bus in left BA, other 4 to first channel
on three channel SWXCR. Other to SWXCR channels each to a half bus
in the other BA bay.
The only minor issue is physical confusion for the implementors.
You have to make sure to get your cable/slot assigments done right.
