One of our customers has the same problem. In a BA356 there is a mix
of RZ28-VA (firmw 442D) and RZ29B-VW disks connected to a KZPSC
in a Alpha 1000 system. (SRM firmware 4.5)
After power off/on the RZ28-VA drives are faulted by KZPSC and should
be made optimal via the SWXCRMGR.
Typical is also that initial polling of the RZ28-VA drives takes
a rather long time per drive (about 1 minute and 20 seconds).
While the RZ29B-VW drives take only 2 seconds.

We had to investigate the problem above at the customer, but perhaps
you know already the solution, which will help us in fixing
    this problem.
    Please react.
    Thanks in advance.
