3199.0. "Problem writing onto a remote file." by PADKOA::COSTEUX (Le Plat Pays qui est le mien...) Thu Feb 13 1997 09:07

A customer runs a Cobol written program on a VAX with OVMS-V6.1
This program opens for creation a file onto a remote node (no cluster)
then writes one after one all the records from a local sequential file to
the 'remote' opened file. No error occurs during this transfert but the
customer states than SOMETIMES the remote file has lost between one or
two blocks which means that for 10+ to 50+ records are lost. The
program is executed in Batch mode. Each record is 38 bytes long.
He tried the same transfer using a DCL procdure and he never gets this
    problem usinmg this method.

Can somebody help to find a way to search for ?? Batch Job priority ??

    Thanks in advance.
