The CCMAA-BA in virtual hub mode do not seem to come up at all under V7.1. I have now a second customer with dual Alphaserver 1000A's with shared SCSI that is unable to get it to work. Diagnostics run fine, jumpers are set correctly, no messages on the consoles, no errors logged against the devices, they just show as offline. We did ensure that the master was booted first. Any ideas? /steve

Err. The problem is probably one of documentation (which is all my fault). Memory Channel is supported on 1000A/4s NOT 1000A/5s. The documentation does not make this distinction. The required MC support routines are simply not in the 1000A/5 cpu-specific code. I'm very sorry about this. Needless to say, I didn't know about it when I wrote the SPD/SOC. Anyway, we're working on a patch kit for the 1000A/5 right now. I'm not sure of its status, but I know we have it working, and final test is underway. | |||||
