| SCSI cluster is OpenVMS cluster, i.e. you use CLUSTER_CONFIG or
CLUSTER_CONFIG_LAN to create the second root.
i.e. the answer is "Yes, you can form a common system disk", and for
a SCSI cluster I reckon this is also the right way to go. Also use a
quorum disk on the shared SCSI bus.

| : Is it possible to form a common system disk on two-node SCSI cluster on
: OpenVMS 6.2 1h3 for dual AlphaServer 4100?
This configuration works and is fully supported -- assuming the use
of the appropriate (supported) disks and SCSI controllers...
: Besides clustering software and H/W, what are the requirement for

Skimming the Cluster and OpenVMS Software Product Descriptions (SPDs),
and skiming the VMScluster manager's manual, and the OpenVMS upgrade
and installation manual, the latter manuals in the sections around
upgrades and installs in a VMScluster environment.
Copies of these manuals are available on-line, on CD-ROM, and in
hardcopy.
