You should be able to perform a rolling upgrade from V6.2 to the
`Redhawk' (compatibility kit) support -- I would tend to avoid staying
in this mixed environment longer than necessary, however.
:Can plain V6.2 systems and V6.2-with-cluster-compatibility-kit systems coexist
:in a VMScluster? (Can I therefore perform a "rolling 'upgrade'" from plain V6.2
:to V6.2-with-cluster-compatibility-kit?)
It may/will be worth logging a QAR here, so that we can get this
information into the support databases.

Done, QAR 00787 in EVMS-RAVEN.
(GRYPHON has shipped and does no longer accept QARs, I decided not to
duplicate this in VAX-RAVEN)

| Steve is exactly correct, a rolling upgrade is perfectly possible. However,
the benefits of the compatibility kit are not realised until all nodes in the
cluster are running it, so installing it on a subset of nodes is a pointless
exercise.

| Hello,
Where can I get REDHAWK? I can't find it in TIMA.

Full answered in the cross-posting over in VAXAXP::VMSNOTES 214.0.
Short answer: see the information on the OpenVMS V7.1 distribution.

| re .3:
I realize that installing 'redhawk' on a subset is a pointless action -
my concern in the base note, however, was whether it could do any harm
or not.
Thanks for all answers!
Raymond.
