    What is the current status of the proposal to support the VXworks
    development tools on Alpha NT, there was some discussion here about a year
    ago but nothing has appeared since
    I have a customer who is asking if this will be available by the end of
    this calendar year.

    The tools exist. Green Hills will sell them to you. The VxWorks product
    does not exist. It's a big hassle to support a UNIX-based product on
    Windows or Windows NT. So far, no one's produced a customer with enough
    money to make us get it done.

    Wind River is betting heavily on Windows hosts for future sales. I hope
    that when Alpha support is an integrated part of the Wind River product
    that the Windows NT support will be a forgone conclusion.

    So what is the current state of our relationship with WRS, is tornado
    in work yet?
    
    Do you know of any schedule yet for the alpha integration by WRS

    Tornado support for Alpha is still under negotiation between Digital
    and Wind River. We shouldn't talk about it here. If you want to get in
    touch with someone who can tell you what's going on, let me know.
    
    I understand that a full update will be given to the OEM field people
    at the sales training in Shrewsbury in July.
