3129.0. "Unauthorized to access edi server" by JOBURG::BERETTA () Thu May 15 1997 17:03

    Hi,

I experiencing a problem with extracting a document sent dec/edi with
bypass, using the trade fetch command:

one gets the error: not authorized to access the EDI server system

    DECDEDI$LOOK:

    %DECEDI-I-PCCAPPL, Application INTERNAT-BILL
    -DECEDI-I-PCCREPCAF, Client Application Node ediit1.165.148
    -DECEDI-E-NOTAUTHORIZED, user session not authorized
-DECEDI-I-CONDLOGGED, condition logged by OBB_00046857 on node EDIIT1::
    at 15-May

The application is registered under register nodes. Using OBB with
    TCP/IP vers 2.5a and Dec/edi 2.1c

I think this is an OBB problem, did the network test and this is fine.
Client and server on the same node.

    Any Ideas.

    Thanks

    Peter

Peter,

no this is "user error" and the error message tells you what is going wrong.

    %DECEDI-I-PCCAPPL, Application INTERNAT-BILL
    -DECEDI-I-PCCREPCAF, Client Application Node ediit1.165.148
    -DECEDI-E-NOTAUTHORIZED, user session not authorized
-DECEDI-I-CONDLOGGED, condition logged by OBB_00046857 on node EDIIT1::

Either you have not registered application: INTERNAT-BILL

or

You don't have an entry for node: ediit1.165.148

That's the strangest nodename I've ever seen.

Also it could be you have both on the system but not associated.

    Hi Mark,

The node name also baffles me, I think the problem is that the client
is trying to access a server which does not exist. The server's node
name is "ediit1" and the ip address 165.148.207.4, so somehow, the
client has appended the first part of the ip address to the nodename.
How do I change this? Especially since the client and the server are
both running on the same node. Is it an incorrect definition somewhere
    in Objectbroker?

    Peter.

                    OrbV12 style Agent

The agent thinks it is on a node ediit1.165.148, the question how do I
    change this to ediit1?

Peter,

I really don't know. I suggest asking in one of the Objectbroker conferences.
