    Hi,

(A question from a potential customer)
In version 3.2 of DEC/EDI (not released yet) what kind of information
is passed back in the CONTRL message, i.e. is it the document id,
interchange id etc? Will it be easy for a non technical person to
identify what happened? In other words using the Business view, would
there be an easily determined problem identification.

The slide mentions the acknowledgement of
    - interchange
    - functional group
    - message

    Syntax checking
    - acceptance or rejection
    - details of any errors

    document reconciliation

    Regards

    Peter.

The information pass back is the information provided in the
enveloping segments; UNB, UNG, and UNH, along with the CONTRL
message Action and Error codes. To answer your question, the
document id and the interchange Id will be returned.
When an incoming CONTRL message is processed by the EDIFACT
Translator, it will produce a 'human readable' report.
The report will provide the same information as that in the
CONTRL message. For all Action and Error codes, their text
      eqivelent (sp?) will be displayed.

Not quite sure what is meant by this. A CONTRL message
acks an interchange. Therefore all documents in the
interchange will be ack'd; including documents in functional
	groups.

	Yes.
> document reconciliation
	Yes.
