Hi, A customer of ours is using DEC/EDI 1.3 with the OFTP gateway and they are now trying to use the SFID to send the message to a specific mailbox on the trading partners system. The connection is set up using BYPASS. Having done an X25 trace, we notice that the SFID is not being inserted. Is this due to the profile not being read i.e. BYPASS? If so how can we insert the SFID and still use bypass? Peter.

I believe the TFB would normally populate the CLF record with the data, however, since the TFB is being bypassed it can not do it. What DEC/EDI API are you using? I believe there is a parameter that can be used to include the data you want to use. The API will create the CLF record and include in the record, the data associated with the parameter. | |||||

Yes, you can enter the SFID data using the API or CLI. If you use the API, then add the data using the item list identifier, DECEDI_ITM_CONNECTION_DATA. If you use the CLI, then use /CONNECTION_DATA=value. (or -connection_data=value for Unix). "value" follows the same syntax as connection specific data entered as trading partner data. |
