Hi,

Can DEC/EDI + Oracle be implemented using oracle archivelog mode on ?
 
Any comment/idea is welcomed.

    Hooi Ching,
    
    DEC/EDI does not define or enable any of the archiving parameters
    associated with the DEC/EDI Oracle7 database.
    
    However, as far as I know, there is nothing stopping you adding the
    extra commands to enable automatic archiving or to regularly issue
    one off archive commands.
    
    Please note that to alter the archiving mode will mean that DEC/EDI
    needs to be shutdown and the database brought to a suitable state.
    
    The Oracle Press book 'ORACLE: Backup and Recovery Handbook, by Rama
    Velpuri' , ISBN 0-07-8821076-1 seems to be a good source of information
    if you do want to follow this route (I got mine free with my 7.3.2.1
    upgrade).
