Hi, we have been setting up DECEDI V3.1A and Oracle. this succeeded. now, when starting one of the ComCen components we always get two dialogue boxes. the first is clearly the Operating system access and the second the Oracle logon screen. These both dialogues require the username/password information. As I understand, the Oracle username/password has nothing to do with the operating system username/password. ( through decedi_config we can not set the password when adding the Oracle users , what password is generated here?) This means that we always have to type in two different combinations of values. Is there a more userfriendly way to set things up? preferrably hide the Oracle logon? Thanks GJ

What ODBC driver are you using for Oracle? Which one did you choose when you defined the server in the CommandCenter. Pete

Sounds correct - the second Oracle login should not appear. Did some edit the driver settings for Oracle 73, ignoring the warning? The settings should be: Name: Oracle73 Type: Oracle 7 Login Configuration Nodename Server Network Account UID Database/Class Service Password PWD Everything else should be blank. Pete

JG make sure that you use the same UserID/password, do not use Uid=decedi. I ve made a new user in the DB and since them I have only one login. Nicolas |
