    Hi,
    
    A customer has the following software versions:
    
    Pathworks for VMS (Macintosh) v1.1
    Pathworks for MAC v1.3
    
    He has built PowerPC's 4400 with O.S. 7.5.3 and Open Talk protocol. The
    Pathworks capabilities don't work in these machines. I suppose it's due
    to Pathworks for VMS version, so they must to update to v1.3.
    
    Can you say me if it is the only incompatibility?

	While upgrading the OpenVMS system to PATHWORKS for OpenVMS (Macintosh) v1.3 is a good idea, I do not think it has anything to do with the Power Macintosh 4400. The file server doesn't care what type of Macintosh it is talking to. If there is a problem, it is most likely on the Macintosh side, not the server. Bob Harris

	While I'm not familiar with PowerMac 4400's, I suspect that your problem lies there. PATHWORKS requires either a built-in Ethernet connection, or a Nubus Ethernet adaptor. Nothing else is supported, sorry. This is a problem and will be address in field communications as well as the 1.3A SPDs. Eirikur

	the only piece of pathworks that works on 4400 is terminal emulation and lat. no piece of decnet (not even 1.4) . no macx. decnet can't find the pci ethernet controller.
