G'day everyone.... Oh dear..... more problems. Has anybody else heard of or come across problems using Client32 on Win95 on a Venturis FX using a DE450 card ? The problems I'm seeing are approximately 25 machines that "drop" off the network. Client 32 gives a message of trying to re-connect to server. Latest Client32 is installed and latest interim de450 driver kit (45kit261). The current decision by PCBU was to install Intel cards and to this date they have not had problems. This is therefore a DE450/driver and/or Client32 issue. Oh yeh ... one more thing... the bios on the venturis machines can vary from 1.06 to 1.09. I am also currently trying to obtain the riser card revision levels in case it may be related to the ECO fix as discussed by engineering. Netware Client 32 release V2.11 from Novell
is incompatible with Win95 OSR2 and OSR2.1
This client is the one that comes together with
IntraNetWare and/or Netware 4.11
This has been stated by Novell on their Web Site.
There is a release 2.12 available for download,
and the file is called 95ANU_3.exe
It is supposed to fix it, and we are testing
it.

I'm running with the v2.12 Client 32 kit right now and this seems to be ok. No more crashes (BOD) when accessing the Control Panel for instance. Pjotrr | |||||
