Does anyone know why a Starion 300i would not suspend? I've set the suspend timer with no effect. I have set up a hot suspend key, but when I press it, the system suspends for about 1 second and then starts up again. Thanks for any help, Roy Goodman

7444.1 | Are you running Win95 | PCBUOA::GKELLEY | Tue May 20 1997 11:28 | 11
Are you running Win95? If so, there is a switch for the CDROM (called auto insert) that needs to be disabled. You find the switch in the Device Manager, open the properties for the CDROM and on the Settings page, uncheck the auto insert box. The auto insert on sends an interrup about every 5 secs. Also, make sure that you have the latest BIOS for the 300i (currently at 1.03). regards, glen kelley

Thanks, I'll check it out. This happened before I installed W95 as well, though... Roy |
