Thanks for quick reply. Could you please tell us the name and model of
the graphics card. Since we are using not-too-modern PCs, maybe we can
find some used graphics card (if we are lucky, of course). Somehow
we still see people around use VR320 for their DECpc 560.

The original cards used in DECpcs to drive fixed frequency monitors
were Appian Rendition 3 boards. There are a couple still in use in my
group. The problem with these boards is that there are no drivers, or
no accelerated drivers for modern PC operating systems. No one
supports them any more.
I'll echo the advice to switch monitors.
