7402.0. "PRIORIS ZX5000 MP OR MP/2" by VAXSPO::MARTINS () Wed Apr 02 1997 16:28

    I HAVE A CUSTOMER WITH A PRIORIS ZX 5133MP(FR-A60WW-AA) AND THIS
    COMPUTER WAS UPGRADED TO 5133MP/2 WHIT ANOTHER BOARD FR-PCA6U-AA SO THIS
    EQUIPMENT HAVE TWO BOARDS FR-PCA6U-AA (5133MHZ W/ 512KB CACHE). BUT
    IN DESCRIPTION OF 5133MP/2(FR-A61WW-AA) THE PROCESSOR CARD IS A
    FR-PCA6U-AB WITH TWO PROCESSOR 5133 AND 1MB CACHE PER CPU.
    	THIS CONFIGURATION WORK OK WHEN WE RUN A SCO UNIX BUT WHEN WE
    INSTALL A SMP THIS CONFIGURATION HANGS. WE TRIED TO INSTALL WNT TO TEST AND
    THE COMPUTER HANGS. MAYBE THIS CONFIGURATION IS WRONG. (TWO PROCESSORS
    IN TWO CARDS AND 512KB CACHE PER CPU).

    THANKS FOR ANY HELP       LUIZ

7402.3Theoretically..., it should work!PCBUOA::MCQUADEst*rs = 1x4x9Mon Apr 07 1997 11:369

    	There are single CPU modules..., I ran SCO, NT and OS/2 in single
    and triple CPU configs with no problems. Didn't try 2 singles, as we
    only had 1 single CPU card.

    	Are you set for SMP 1.4, if not, set it in the SCU.
