7383.0. "clientworks support to manage WFW clients?" by QCAV01::RENUKA () Sat Mar 15 1997 07:24
Hello,
One of our customer having WFW clients (digital pcs with clientworks
latest version installed) wants to buy a prioris server with server
works and clientworks to manage the WFW clients? Basically he wants
to monitor the WFW clients. The clients have WFW , Clientworks and
MS tcp/ip installed to connect to servers. Is this possible?
We tried this configuration and we are having problem in accessing
the dmi data from WFW client. (ie) when we click clientworks in the
server it shows the clients name. But when we click the respective
client, it comes out with an error that 0x211 dmi layer not loaded.
But we checked up in the WFW client that sl.exe under dos and windows
are up and running. We are not able to identify exactly what is the
problem. The client works loaded in the server is the latest version
2.3d. Can some body tell us what is wrong in the above set up? I
understand one network protocol is enough. We have also verified the
network activity is ok using connect network drive, which works
perfectly o.k.
Thanks for any inputs
Regards,
Renuka
