7370.0. "Sound Driver NT Question" by NETRIX::"[email protected]" (Keith Given) Tue Mar 04 1997 08:41

I have a customer at kennedy Space Center who purchased a Clebris PC 133 from
Digital.
The system has an integrated sound card within the system.
They are looking for a sound driver for WNT v 4.0. Can someon
please help me or point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Keith

    Hi Keith,

First determine the exact type of box (there are many models named
"Celebris") then browse the internal support site,
http://pcbu.ako.dec.com/ to locate the drivers that you need. Most if
not all of the drivers are available on the external web site as well,
    at http://www.windows.digital.com/~ftp/00-index.htp. The navigation is
    just different.

It may be a Sound Blaster compatible. I loaded Sound Blaster
drivers on a WinNT 4.0 Celebris with a built-in sound
card and it came up without a problem. Other drivers to try
would be Windows Sound System or ESS drivers.

    Keith,

I have our Celebris GL 5133 WNT 4.0 at the ORF office running with the
ESS driver. Works fine. I have a local copy the driver, if you need it.

    Regards,
    Tom
