I've got a Starion 960 to which I've already added a second disk drive as a slave on the same cable as the original disk. I'd like to add a Toshiba 12x IDE CD-ROM, keeping the original 4x. Is there any reason I can't do this or any changes I might have to make to the way things are connected to the IDE controller? Gregg

Last time I tried this, just hooking it to the secondary IDE cable, set as a slave drive, worked fine. Be aware that the factory install program gets confused when it sees the 2nd CDROM drive out there, and hangs. You'll have to remove it if you every need to use the restore CD. Chris |
