btw - the FS solution was "new motherboard" - and I would have questioned this if it was my system unless the FS people were very careful and noticed that I had the 66/60 jumper off and they put the video memory ( I think that is what it is) in as loose on the new board as the old board). In any case, its back working. I heard rumor that I could have: somehow disabled the on-board video throw in a seperate video card and poof, back on line. If it happens again, I'll try that (hell I need another piece of "I'll build one someday" PC). bjm |
