    I've installed a Cirrus Logic CL-GD5429 Video card in a DECpc 433dx2
with a PCXBV-PE monitor running under Windows 95.

I configure via Control Panel/Display/Setup/Change Display
I select under Adapter Type, Cirrus Logic then Cirrus Logic 5429 and
then the drivers are loaded from the Windows 95 CD-ROM.

The monitor setup is Digital Equipment and the PCXBV-PF (rather than
PCBVX-PE), but should be no difference.

I accept and get back to the setup screen which should allow me to
change the resolution and number of colours, but I get only two
    resolution options (640 x 480, 800 x 600 both with only 16 colour
    option).

    If I take the 800 x 600 resolution it's accepted, but after power-down
    power-up it has reverted to 640 x 480).

    What am I doing wrong.

    Ian Kirkpatrrick.
