Hello, I'm trying to find information on having a company install a "lift" in my two story home. What I need is to have a way to get my daughter from the first floor to second floor, and back down again. What I need is either a company name or information on cost and what/how much construction it take. Kathi

I looked into this a year or so ago. I had one or two firms come out to the house and give me lit on stair lifts. "Stanis" or something similar is one I recall. Most of the leads I got by looking in the back of mags or in the yellow pages. From what I remember, the stair lifts were priced by the foot with premiums for turns and landings or steeper pitches. The price may have been in the 10k range. The price for elevators seemed to start at mid 20's and went up from there. I postponed the project until my back gives out. I suspect you know this, but Digital's insurance coverage will not pay for these items. harlan | |||||
