Since Ford's film _Cheyene Autumn_ was largely film on and around the Navajo
reservation the parts of the "Cheyenes" were mostly played by Navajos (Dine).
I've heard that what they were actually saying when they were speaking in
their own language included a lot of joking comments, some of which were at
the actors expense. Anyone have any specifics?
Also, is anyone reading this? It's approaching a year since the last reply
here. I thought I'd enter a new note to see if anyone is left with any interest
in this conference.
