Hi: We're thinking of upgrading to V7.0 on a cluster with both VAXes and AXPs. We're currently running V6.0-15 and want to go multiversion with V7.0. The AXP system disk (shared by all AXPs on the cluster) has the space to do this, the VAX system disk (shared by all the VAXes ob the cluster) does not. Hardware is being ordered to increase the size of the VAX system disk, but the fact of the matter is that it might be months before it's all in place. We're thinking of installing V7.0 multiversion on the AXP side and leave the VAX side alone with V6.0-15 only. Will there be a problem with this? Thanks -dave

> Will there be a problem with this? not at all. You'll only be able to use Rdb7 on the Alpha systems, of course, but there should be no other issues that I can think of. |
