| Hi all,
the problem has been solved, finally!
It turned out that SNA was at fault. After a looooong investigation (with the
*precious* help of Phil Grice and Albert Godfrind) we eventually built up an
exception handler (thanks, Norm, for the suggestion) that basically put the
server in HIB state as soon as the ACCVIO showed up. At that point we forced an
Rdb bugcheck and immediately after we produced a system dump. This allowed us
to see that: a) it wasn't an Rdb problem and b) that the problem arose with the
installation of 6.0-15 because the failing instruction used R9 while in 6.0-12
(the version that was previously installed) the same instruction used R15.
With this info we started to investigate about the SNA3270 part, to discover
that the version that we had was V1.4. We tried to install V1.5, and
automagically the problem went away!
I enter this as a reference for yet another strange problem dealing with VMS
6.2 and layered.
Thanks to everybody.
Cheers,
/max
