| ~insert into test_lc1 select * from test_lc;
~insert into test_lc1 select * from test_lc order by col1;
why not run your test with the query order reversed.
insert into test_lc1 select * from test_lc order by col1;
insert into test_lc1 select * from test_lc;
Does that make a difference?

| I've not execute the query one time.
I've ran it many times, order first, order second, and i've always the same
result.
On my station the factor is only 0.5 beetween the twoo queries.
On the customer site the factor is 16...
