Bob, I did this on a customer system this morning. What I got was:

cosi_load_image_open failed. Error buffer = syntax error parsing file

It turned out that the problem was that RDB$COSIP.EXE was not INSTALLed.
I'm having a hard time figuring out how the message is suppossed to lead
me to that conclusion.

Can you give us an idea of what other messages we might see when using
this and what they would mean?

Is this debugging technique an "internal use only" type of thing or is it
ok to tell customers about it?

Thanks.
