A friend of mine just bought the barn where I board my horse. If she can get enough kids she plans on having several week long "Horse Camps". The cost will be $125. This includes: 2 riding lessons 3 practice (trail) rides. basic horsemanship (tack, safty, grooming, vocabulary) Dianne can be reached at 495-3855. She is just retired from Penrose/St Francis as chief toxicologist and has been an "A" show amateur competitor since childhood. liesl

The barn is on Old Ranch road two miles from the intersection of Old Ranch and Highway 83. The trail rides would be in the large pasture across from the barn. There are also some short trails in Black Forest that haven't yet been fenced off. If you want to drive out there and look around go past Howell road on Old Ranch to where the road crests on the hill. The house is white, the barn red and there is a sand filled arena with jumps right next to the road. liesl |
