203.16pottery classes in ManitouCSC32::KINGFri Apr 18 1997 12:3521
Well, since there hasn't been a reply here for over 7 years,
I thought I should enter a recommendation for a pottery class.

I've been doing this for over a year, and having lots of fun.
(Besides making lots of useful stuff, and taking care of most
of my Christmas presents last year). It's a great change of pace
from our technical work too. I've done pottery in the past, and
the instructor is one of the best I've ever met, and in this area
(where there are many). She was the Manitou Clayfest champion for
the last 2 years. She also teaches at PPCC and has her own studio
in town. There are ongoing classes tuesday, wednesday or thursday
evenings, 6-9PM at the Business of Arts center (BAC) in Manitou.
She teaches all skill levels together and the classes are always
interesting and enjoyable. The cost is $65 a month (4 classes)
and all the materials are supplied. In one month, you can learn
all the basics and start working on the wheel, and have finished
glazed work to be proud of. So, if you've ever thought about doing
this, give it a try.

Call Rui Haagen 685-5250, for more information.
