238.0. "Looking for information on Booster Clubs" by XLIB::KRONK () Tue Sep 05 1995 11:04
I am a member of a local youth hockey organization - the Starhawks. We
represent USA hockey for Hudson, Northboro, and Milford MA.
We are interested in starting a booster club to help raise funds for our
teams. I am looking for any information about how booster clubs are
organized and run. It does not have to be hockey, information about any
youth sport would be helpful.
We were hoping that we could get 100 - 200 people to pledge money quarterly
in exchange for membership in the booster club. In return they would get
a newletter, entry into raffles, etc.
Like many other youth sports we depend on fund raisers, raffles, etc. to
help defray the cost of our ice time - up to $130.00 an hour.
I am not looking for money, just information on how other organizations
do their fund raising.
Thanx,
Paul Kronk

| Paul, if you haven't already, try cross-posting this in
RTFM1::HOCKEY. A lot of the noters there have experience
in this sort of thing.
